Bio

I was born in San Antonio, Texas but now live in Selma, North Carolina. I spent my younger years also living in Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois and Texas before moving to NC when I was 15. I have a fascination with history, especially family history.

I recently started working on my family tree and quite honestly, I have become addicted to researching my family. I have always been interested in history and have found some truly amazing information about my ancestors.

My direct line of ancestors includes the Brown, Ogden, Spalding and Hascall on my Dad's side and Harrison, Winters, Hill and King families on my Mom's side. Most were from Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas, going all the way back to Plymouth, Mass. where my 9th Great-Grandfather George Soule came to America on the Mayflower's Pilgrim Voyage.

I have several Great Grandfathers who fought in the Revolutionary War and in the US Civil War (on both sides). They have some interesting stories as well.

I will be glad to take photos of gravesites in my local area for those who need them.
