Bio

I am a native Oklahoman [raised in the eastern part of the state] but currently residing in the western section of the state.

I became interested in research after my mother passed in 2004 [her maiden name was Flanary].

Curious to locate any information about my father or any of his relatives both living or deceased [since I never knew him.] His name was Jery J. Whatley [had a twin brother] & they were born: June 18,1915 and Jery died October 17, 1955 near Eufaula, OK due to tragic accident [or so I was told] and is buried at Bower Cemetery.
His parents were Samuel and Mattie Whatley both buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Eufaula, OK.

I was so impressed with the caring and sharing of the volunteers on "find a grave.com" that I decided to embark upon this same journey.

Knowing how it makes you feel to hit so many road-blocks along the way; I hope to be able to discover information and photos to pass along to others to maybe ease their bumps in the road just a little.

As I start my "rookie" journey I am sure I will get to interact with some of you "veteran" volunteers and I am so looking forward to it!!
