My name is Melinda Laetitia Alicia Lopez Robbins. I was born on July 7, 1959 in Santa Fe, NM at St. Vincent's Hospital. I am the daughter of Senator Edward J. Lopez (deceased)of Cinncinati, OH and Rozella M. Lucero of Santa Fe. I the eldest of four (4) children. My brother Edward Joseph Lopez, born June 22, 1962, currently resides in Albuquerque, NM. Elizabeth Anne Lopez (born January 10, 1969-deceased, June 30, 1997), lifelong resident of Santa Fe, NM; Karen Jeanne Lopez Walker born in Santa Fe, NM and currently resides in Nogal, NM.

My paternal grandparents were Joseph Lopez,Santa Fe, NM and Norma Brunton Sears of Cottonwood, AZ, both deceased. My maternal grandparents are Osmundo Lucero, born in Cerrillos, NM and Frances Lacassagne Lucero Ortiz, age 100 of Santa Fe, NM.

I have one niece, Katrina Elizabeth Banagay, age 17, of Nogal, NM and two nephews, Edward Joseph Lopez III, age of Albuquerque, NM and Jude Sky Walker, age 6 of Nogal, NM.

Raised in Santa Fe, I attended grade school at Guadalupe Catholic School and later transferred to Gonzales Elementary School in the Casa Solana neighborhood subdivision. From grades 7 through 12, I attended St. Michael's High School, where I graduated, receiving outstanding School Service Awards, Medals in both Typing and Shorthand, as well as a 7 Year pin awarded the first class of girls (co-eds) to complete six years at St. Michael's. After attending the University of New Mexico, I moved to Beverly Hills, CA where I studied with the Actors Studio under the tutelage of Peggy Feury and Bill Traylor, at world renowned Loft Studios in Hollywood. I was employed by showrooms at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
