Bio

I'm a transplanted Virginian by way of Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma. My father is a Baptist ministry and we have moved a few times. My father knowing my interest in History gave me a 10 year old dated letter. Not knowing if the writer was dead or alive. I contacted Mr. Carlton Lane who's mother was a "Onley". Shortly after receiving a wealth of professional genealogy research Mr. Lane died. I have carried on for 30 plus years researching my family. We have come a long ways from hand written notes, typed written notes, and dot matrix printers. After compiling Mr. Lane research to computer for the first time. My Dot matrix printer printed a family tree 30 pages across and 6 to 7 pages deep of information. As we have moved into the current generation of computer. I am thankful for a site like Find a Grave.
