I have always had an affinity for family trees (my own and those of other people). I feel it's important to understand our roots and keep accurate records for future generations. I know I wish I would have had more accurate information on my maternal grandmother's side but seeing that her grandparents were survivors of the forced removal of the Cherokee (aka The Trail of Tears), our information is limited. I am drawn to cemeteries with empathy for families left behind. I hope that through my research and contributions, others are able to gain more knowledge about their ancestors.
