Bio

I was born January 12, 1934 in Broxton, Coffee county Ga. My parents were Gerald Reno, and Nancy Young Myers. I attended the old broxton high school. My siblings were, Gerald R, Jr.; deceased, Mary Ruth; deceased, Thomas R; deceased, and Nancy L, "Sally," living in Texas.
I joined the army and left home in 1951 when I was seventeen years old. Moved to St Marys in Camden county Ga. in 1955.
I met my wife of 32 years, Evelyn Waters in Gainesville Fl.
Evelyn died on March 15, 1990.
We had only one child, John Sebron Myers, a successful Attorney in St Mary's, John married Rhonda Soud of Jacksonville fl. they have two sons, David; and Douglas.
I have two grandsons David Reno, a student in college, and Douglas Reid, still in high school at this writing.
I retired from Gilman paper co after 25 years of employment there.
I live between Folkston and Kingsland on the St Marys river, and enjoy fishing, tending my small fruit orchard, doing research on family genealogy, and exploring the web.
I had five siblings, Leonard Mercer, (a half brother), Gerald R Jr, Mary Ruth, Thomas R, and Nancy L, (Sally). only Sally and myself remain.
We were fortunate to have had our parents to an advanced age, They both died older than the siblings I lost.
