I have been on Findagrave more than 20 years but accidently cut my previous one off.
I was born and raised in Illinois.
98% of my obits are mine and my husbands family surnames, so I don't transfer a lot of memorials but will with proof of relationship if they are not related to me .
I do genealogy professionally but FindAGrave is my hobby within it.
My pet peeve is obit chasers...the ones who don't give family enough time to do their own family and refuse to transfer them.
PLEASE BE KIND AND DECENT and if you have a fact to add to my memorials please make an edit suggestion.
The latest scam is for people to ask for a temporary transfer to edit someone's memorial. Don't do it !!
FAG allows edit suggestions so there is no need for this and there is no such thing as a temporary transfer.
