Bio

I have always been interested in history. Since a young age I wanted to know more about my own roots. Because of the internet, information is readily available. For example my aunt told me years ago that no one remembered my Great Great Grand Father's name (she was in her 80's at the time). But she did remember that he lived in Birmingham Alabama and that he was a Judge. So with that I looked through census information and legal cases from the period (finding a link between my Great Grand Father's name and Joab). I was able to piece together his biography.

I have so far found that the Baguley name of England became Bagley when Peter Bagley came to Virginia in 1645.
My line stayed in Virginia for 4 generations then settled in North Carolina, then Georgia, then Alabama about 1810 for 2 generations. After the Civil War my line settled in Texas for 4 generations.
