Bio

I would like to thank all those people out there who seek after those who have gone before & leave a record of their life on earth for others to see. Many people are touched when they find a Memorial dedicated to their family member or friend. I have used “Find a Grave” as a critical source for genealogy. I’m grateful for the pictures & info that others have created to help me link “All” my ancestors together. My goal is for anyone looking for my family to be able to see the “Whole Family”. I would like to thank all those who have corrected me and have patience with me.

My Name is Roderick Winston Graham. I was born in Boise, Idaho and raised in Niu Valley, Oahu, Hawaii since two years old. I have lived in Laie/Kahuku since 1983.

I do Family History for many of my Family lines, including my wife's Hawaiian lines: Cummings, Longs, Kanialama, Kaaihue/Kaianui. Her Tahitian lines: Terooatea and Teihotaata.

My fathers Paternal lines from the South: Graham, Grimmett, Ozmer, Deloach, Ammons, Parker, Tigner.

My fathers Maternal lines from the North: Passmore, Came, Wood, Elder, Mosher, Lincoln, Blair, Moore, Brown, Reynolds, Knight, Brackett, Frost.

My mothers Paternal lines from the North: Tate, Gekeler, Gluck, McGee, Painter, Barnhart, Ennis, Antes, Holts.

My Mothers Maternal lines from the North: Davis, Sage,Bogaert, Miller, Winfield, West, Wood, Schoonmaker, Youngblood, Holland.

My family names come out of Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Maine, Massachussetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virgina.

My Puritan family was on the Mayflower and many did not make it that first winter. After my Puritan ancestors survived the winters of Massachusetts many moved into the Southern part of Main. They spent about 200 years there before moving West. This is how the Came family moved to Montana/Idaho.

My family from the South starts in James Town, Virginia and moves South through the Carolinas down into Georgia.

One of my family lines comes out of “New Netherland”, the Dutch New York: Davis, Bogaert, Miller, Winfield, Schoonmaker, Youngblood are family names that made their start in New York during the early part of the 17th Century.

Both on my Father and Mothers side are full of Quakers from Pennsylvania and they got their start with William Penn in the later part of the 17th Century. My Father and Mother have a common ancestor in the early Quaker movement, Humphrey Buxcey. He is their 7th Great Grandfather. Some of those Quaker families were: Brown, Buxcey, Painter, Passmore, Pusey and Tate.
