Bio

I was born and live in Knoxville TN. My father is Earl Frederick Raby and My mother is Sarah Vise Raby. The Rabys came to Knox County TN in 1828. My ancestors settled in West Knox County until 1880 and moved briefly to Morgan Co (Coalfield).
They then settled in Scarbrough, Anderson Co near the Clinch River. They lived there from 1888 until 1942 when the US government took the home to make Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project during World War 2. Two generations of my ancestors are buried in New Hope Cemetery inside the East Gate of Y-12 National Security Facility.

Mother Vises came to Knoxville in 1921 from Nashville when my Grandfather was commissioned to start a Flooring mill in Knoxville. Mother was 3 years old. They came from Spartanburg Co SC in 1883 to Triune TN. I am researching Raby, Vise, Rash, Walters, Lunsford, Dennison in Tennessee, Carolina and Virginia.
