I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois in Southern View, went to Springfield High School 1953-1957. I married and had two children, 1968 divorced and remarried 1979 and moved to Houston, Texas my husband had 3 children at that time ages 7-9-16, now they are all adults and we have quite a number of grandchildren.

I still visit home at least once a year, or whenever possible. My family is still in Springfield, and I miss them. I started a Genealogy Class and became more interested in family and family tree for the first time. Then discovered this web site. Love it. Joan
