I have been interested in Genealogy as long as I remember. I really began researching more actively when I was having trouble with my dad's family tree due to my grandfathers family had all passed away and relatives lived clear across the country. Dad told me who he thought was his grandfather but I didn't have any luck. While reading my grandfather's journal from the 1800's, I noticed my grandfather kept talking about a church in CT. I contacted the church and spoke to the historian. The historian located my grandfathers Baptismal certificate which listed his parents, which confirmed, the name I had originally been given was incorrect. I made a trip up to the church and got the picture of my great grandparent's resting place. My father passed shortly afterward and I am so happy I was able to find the information for him before he passed.
People are so interesting and finding out about them is my passion.
