Bio

I started doing family history research in 1999 because I could not get an answer to a simple question: What are my great-grandparents names? I was shocked that neither my father, nor my mother knew their names. In 2001, my maternal gma died. Several months later while we were sorting thru her belongings, we find a Family History Book, almost 200 pages long. It was researched and typed by a french cousin showing my gma’s french and german family from 1721 to 1993 living in France. We have more living cousins in France than in the USA. That discovery led to me attending a Family Reunion in Strasbourg, France in 2004. I have been hooked on researching family histories ever since. I have been blessed to find my roots back to the 1600s in my paternal line. Over the years, I have completed the paternal and maternal genealogy for my husband, while adding several cousins family histories. Everyday life is hard, and love is the only renewing source of strength. Family history grows my love of family, past and present, and restores my soul to get up each day to fight again.
