Now that I'm retired from teaching, I have much more time to devote to my genealogy research which I began 30+ years ago. I was inspired by the dedication of my great aunt who did her research the old-fashioned way...visiting libraries, historical places, and state archives and taking notes on paper. I try to spend at least an hour or two a day researching online, adding information to my Ancestry trees and sorting/scanning family photos and documents, but I still enjoy walking through cemeteries to read headstone inscriptions. I'm very busy with my three grandchildren, especially during the school year, but still manage to make time for my research which I find fascinating!
