The Crowther Chapel Committee of Sunapee, NH

Crowther Chapel, built in young John Crowther's memory, is a lovely 10 by 12 stone structure with stain glass windows in the woods on a hill above the town and lake of Sunapee, New Hampshire. It is surrounded by a low stonewall with a wrought iron gate which also encloses the graves of John Crowther and his parents.

The surrounding property is now owned by Dexter's Inn. The town of Sunapee owns and is responsible for the maintenance of the chapel. The chapel is open only briefly four days a year (11:30-1:30 the last Sundays of June, July, August & September). The graves may be visited at any time. Ask for directions at Dexter's Inn (258 Stagecoach Rd., Sunapee, NH 03782, 603-763-5571).
