Bio

I was born in Milan Indiana in 1953. Since then I have been in 5 countries and in 46 states. I have lived in 6 states, including FL where I am now, and lived in Germany for four years;

I am now disabled and retired from active ministry but I still operate a worldwide Internet ministry via the Internet. I have been in the ministry since Dec. 1987. Prior to that, I was a Realtor, and prior to that I was a Federal Agent.

I attended Arlington High School in Indianapolis, IN. for three years (1967 - 1970) and finished/graduated from Aurora High School (Indiana)in 1971. I received two Associates Degrees from Central Texas College. My first, an AA in General Studies, was completed mostly in the European Campus in Germany and finished in 1978 in Killeen Tx.

I received my second degree, an AAS, in Law Enforcement at the Killeen, TX campus in 1982 and I received my Bachelors degree from Rollins College, which is now Excelsior College, in June 1992.

I worked concurrently on my Bachelors and Masters degrees and when I finished my Bachelors degree I was only six courses short of my Masters Degree with the Biblical work done at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

I have amassed 18.5 years of education, equivalent to a Ph.D.

Current Activities
I am now Founder/Owner of International Travel Reviews. Our focus is increasing overall #SustainableTourism as a means for Economic, Social, & Environmental development. I believes tourism is a rising tide that lifts all boats and if properly managed using sustainability processes can be a benefit to the entire world. |||

Because I am disabled, I am also a #DisabilityAdvocate dedicated to #AccessibleTravel for all people no matter their disability or accessibility needs to find safe, affordable, exciting, & accessible travel experiences. From Autistic children/adults to wheelchair bound travelers, Rick supports safe Travel & Tourism for everyone |||

Interests:
Genealogy in general and mine and my wife's Ancestry in particular; Saving our American way of life; Saving lives; healthier living; helping people with unseen disabilities; motivational tools; reading, and surfing the net.

GENEALOGY PURSUITS
On Dec 30th, 2012 I very nearly died in the ER. My lungs had collapsed and were almost completely deflated. In addition, my kidneys had all but quit working having reached only 1 percent of kidney function between two kidneys. I was released on the 7th of Jan. Then, just 14 days later, on the 17th of January, 2013 I again very nearly died in the ER.

This served as a strong impetus to get my butt back in gear working on my Genealogy. I read about F.A.G as being an excellent resource and tried it. I was amazed at the amount of coverage they have and when I saw that volunteers were needed, I signed up immediately.

I wanted to get a solid month of training in working with FAG and then cut back so I can actually work on my own Genealogy efforts. Right now I am at 2 months and 17 days!! I really need to give my 7 family lines some attention! FAG, helping people, they are like magnets once you get started and it quickly becomes addictive.

Let me make one other point. I am disabled and unable to do this alone. I have a broken neck and broken back, stage three Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD & asthma. My wife Karen plays a major role in our efforts. It is a great way for a husband and wife to share something they both can find fulfillment in doing and we have fun in the process.

UPDATE: MY HEALTH TO A DRASTIC TURN FOR THE WORST IN 2014 SO I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN F.A.G. SINCE THEN

Okay enough with the novel.

The lines I am working are:
My Paternal: Stoneking(s) of Dearborn county Indiana and my maternal line - Priest/Hess.

On my Maternal side surnames are Paternal = Davis and Maternal = Waller.

My wife Karen's surnames are Paternal Berry and Maternal Fulwood?

Karen's Maternal Surnames are Holcomb and Cason

The Berry's were originally from Tuckers Store, Al, the Montgomery, AL area. They migrated to Webster, FL. A couple family members stayed in GA for a while but most ended up in Webster, Florida.

Karen's maternal side is Holcomb primarily in Florida for generations and Cason.

My wife's main surnames are:
Paternal: Berry and Fulwood?
Maternal: Holcomb and Cason

I am also doing some cursory work only three gens for the paternal and maternal sides for our former spouses. Karen's maternal line is Holcomb and somehow intertwined with the Zachary family. I may not do them because I think they are cousins as is the other maternal family group for Karen the Cason's. What a tangled web we weave.

I am so thankful for Ancestry.com making my foray into genealogy a much less painful experience. I am about to start using family tree Maker from Ancestry once I get all the lines in and connected so it will sync everything I do on Ancestry and vice-verse.

NOTE: lines from remarriage are not fully included but are with paternal remarriage to Hazel? which produced half brother Allen Dale Stoneking
Maternal remarriage to Paine produced step sister G. Paine

So to start with:
Stoneking/Jeffries,Priest
>J. Stoneking/A.Davis, Waller

Berry/Holcomb >Cason
Berry/J. Walker
> Anthony D. Berry, John Scott Berry
Holcomb/Gay
>Rhonda Gay
Remarriage
Pateral:
My maternal side Paine with step sister G. Paine
Karen's Paternal
Holcomb remarried to R Gay, with step sister R Gay
