As a little girl my sister and I would go with our parents to cemeteries. Our Mom was a huge history buff and I think enjoyed looking at the different grave markers. Through the years as a child we would incorporate cemetery visits with our vacations. I can remember visiting cemeteries in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado. I have carried on this tradition much to the dislike of my children. Visiting cemeteries in Australia, Hawaii, Mexico, Germany, France and Switzerland. I also have restored an abandoned cemetery that was on our rural farm in Cass County, Mo. I find very interesting the different burial traditions of countries all over the world.
