My mother researched the history of our families for close to 50 years. This was back in the day when there was no internet. She and my father visited countless county courthouses and cemeteries. I remember when she and I scrolled through the microfiche at the National Archives and found the ship's register that had the names of my great-great-great grandfather and his son, my great-great grandfather on it! My mother passed away on April 20, 2022.

I have always been intrigued with the family pictures and the stories that went with them. As a young girl (and even today) I visit the cemeteries on a regular basis and often take pictures. I am also the keeper of many of the old family albums.

I find great joy and excitement in finding a relative through DNA connection, especially when they have records connecting us back many generations further than I do!

You are welcome to use any photos I have added for your personal family history. Please acknowledge credit to the volunteer who took the photos when permission has been given to use them, whether ours or another volunteer's. Thank you!
