I have enjoyed researching my family's genealogy over the last 14 years (off and on) and I know how important it is to find & see a grave marker for a family member. Finding them personally is much more rewarding but, most of us cannot afford to take a trip across the state or country to lay eyes on a grave & snap a picture (as much as we would like to do that!) I am blessed that all my families (my parents and my in-laws) are either in Richmond VA or within 1-3 hours' drive! My families are Firestones-Fralins-Fosters-Clays (Amelia and Louisa County VA) and Belchers from Botetourt County, Hollins, Roanoke area/ Baldwins and Dowdys from Cumberland Co, Buchanan, Buckingham Co, Louisa County/ Chapins from Richmond, Bath County, Rockbridge Co, and Joynes-Dyson-Knight from Norfolk and Accomack County/ Pharr- Rasberry from Durham and Charlotte NC. I don't have many memorials yet but if you see something that needs correcting pls let me know. I will try to address them asap- that shouldn't be a problem with the number of memorials I have!Thanks for any guidance the more "seasoned" volunteers want to give me! It is much appreciated!
