Bio

I have been doing genealogy for my family for the better part of the last 35 years. Much of my family tree was passed down to me from grandparents on both sides of my family. All of my extended family knows that if they have births, deaths, family documents, photos, etc… that they want preserved, they make sure it finds its way to me. I digitize it and make it all available to everyone via Ancestry on a sharable online space.

I do a lot of volunteer work in cemeteries. I find them to be peaceful, reflective places full of history and memories. My family has often gone on vacations specifically to visit cemeteries whether or not they have relatives know to us or not. In fact, I have been known to stop at a seemingly abandoned cemetery along some lonely county road just to make sure the cemetery has been recorded in the Find-A-Grave database. Most often, at least some of the markers are recorded, sometimes with photos, sometimes not. I make it my mission to make sure these "lost" souls are recorded with the hope that their families can now find them.
