2024 - Currently working on Mount Hope Cemetery (San Diego, California) from cemetery records to enter those missing and also getting Plot Info already entered to be in same format and consistency across the cemetery. (Don't know why some people don't accept these changes as "Information Already Correct"…Your on your own)

I Inherited Many Many Evergreen (Potter's Field) Records…doing more research then was previously done to correct Date of Death and add Date of Birth and sometimes Linking with Parents.

Thank You for those that have Approved
Don't understand why Some Deny Changes or Updates

Mount Hope Cemetery - Correct Sequence for Grave Description:
Division - Section- Lot - Grave
SOME Areas are
Division - Row - Lot
Division - Row - Lot - Grave
(Ie) Masonic - Row - Lot

PLOT is not used
————————-

Enjoy spending a day exploring cemeteries and learning about people from their memorial. Seeing a "catch phrase" or just something they loved memorialized for eternity is refreshing. We have become a "go go" society and we just need to slow down and enjoy life.

When fulfilling a Photo Request I will take pictures of those around that grave and post when I get home if they don't already have a photo.

Any pictures I've posted can be used without my permission for genealogy related use, such as posting to your ancestry.com tree.

Some people take the Edits of their memorials too seriously and make up their own rules. Relax and take a breath.

I don't understand why people will DENY information to add to the monument like what the Initial stands for or the Full Dates of Birth or Death. Also Inscription means what's on the Monument Besides the Name and Dates.

I have been concerned about obituaries being added so I contacted Findagrave and this was their response. "Greetings... Since the move to Ancestry and the new website, newspaper obituaries, death certificates and other scanned documentation are allowed. We encourage members to move the images down to the bottom of the photo display so that they are not the first thing you see when viewing a memorial page.
Thank you, Find a Grave Administration"

My Ancestry Includes Mayflower immigrants:

10th Great Grandfather John Howland

2nd Cousin 12 Times Removed Myles Standish
