Bio

I started researching my family tree as a Texas History project in the 7th grade. That year, I fell in love with genealogy and lettered in Texas History. My mom and I would spend numerous hours at the library on days off researching by hand before the world of online search.

Throughout college, grad school, and now raising kids, I research when I can. This can be challenging with two small kids who I also homeschool when not teaching other children online. Somewhere in there I managed to write a short family history for my father-in-law before he passed.

Currently, I am serving on the Basin Springs Cemetery Association's Board of Trustees where most of my maternal line is buried. My mother and I are trying to map the 2.4 acres for the first time (or that map was lost) with graves dating back to the 1880s. I am working on the map on paper and updating on the cemetery's page here on FindAGrave.

When I am not teaching, volunteering, being a mother or a wife, I am tending to our little family farm that we just started.
