Bio

In 1957, I started researching my Father's ancestral beginnings in Germany. That evolved into researching my Mother's family, which I soon discovered was so extensive that I am still researching and finding new information. My Mother's maiden name was Pierce, and that family, Percy, goes back to the Viking invasion and settling of Normandy and then England and America. It has been a wild ride, full of headaches and frustration, and I've had to do it on my own, without professional help. I never imagined having a Roman Emperor for an ancestor; nor did I imagine that my 12th Great Grandfather was Commander of the Mayflower II in 1629. Find A Grave has become a great source for information....reliable information.
