Bio

I am a passionate amateur genealogist and fortunate that my retirement allows me to devote more time to it. My family surnames include the Scottish branch of Logan's, Garoutte, Standley, Brand, Copeland, and Morris.

I will be happy to transfer memorials to family members if they are not my own relatives, and I will always show you the courtesy of replying to your inquiries, no matter the outcome. It is so disheartening to have friendly inquiries ignored.

Photos: Would Great Aunt Fanny be happy with the photo you placed on her memorial showing her bent over in the garden or hanging the wash? Please take the time and effort to provide a decent photo you know your ancestor would be proud of and representative of the way they would want to be remembered.

Photos can be digitally restored relatively inexpensively these days and the photos never have to leave your possession. What a treasure restored and preserved photos can be to families and future generations!

Please submit edits, accompanied by the source(s) of your acquired information, using the fifth option under the edit tab: "Suggest Any Other Addition Or Correction (SAC)".

Find A Grave rules state that submitted corrections must be completed within 30 days of my receiving them. If corrections haven't been made in this time frame, please contact me. Your submission may not have gone through.

I also ask that no dry census data, (which is often notoriously incorrect and misspelled), photos of death certificates, or other
inappropriate materials be placed on the memorials. This site was never meant to be a genealogy note board. I realize that it is helpful to some but there are other more appropriate sites for this.

Please submit this type of information in the form of a Biography as befits a respectful and dignified memorial honoring that person.

Thanks!
