I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. where I lived until I was 20 years old. My family moved to Monterrey, Mexico and my parents lived there for fifteen years. I joined the Air Force and was stationed in San Antonio, Tex. for two years and then at Ramstein AFB Germany for another two years.

I was discharged from the service in 1967 and after waiting for my luggage and VW to arrive from Germany, I found a job in Houston, Texas with IBM Corp. I retired from the Office Machine business in 2011.
