Bio

My name is Julie. Feel free to copy any of my pictures or/documents as I am happy to contribute to your ancestry search!! I am retired and have very recently gotten involved in my family tree and researching as much info as I can on my fathers side of the family (CLIFT/ABBOTT). It all started with my granddaughter talking about Veterans Day and how they were going to have a big tribute to our brave veterans, at her school. It was a great opportunity for me to tell her about her great grandfather, Thomas Harrison Clift, Jr., whom she had never met, because he died before her birth. He was in the infantry in the army for the U.S.during World War II. He was injured during the war and received the Purple Heart, as well as other medals. Anyway, together we researched information about the war and my father and she proudly did an excellent report for the Veterans Day Tribute.I found the whole experience very rewarding and intriguing. At that point, I found myself wondering about other family heritage and have been hooked ever since!! So far, have been able to trace my Dads roots back to 1720 and can't wait to delve deeper!!
