Bio

I've always been more interested in the past than the present. I work on my family tree as a hobby, although I don't work on it religiously. I tend to put in a lot of time working on it when I do research for it though.

I'm a native of the Lehigh Valley and I've lived here pretty much my entire life, save for the last seven years. My dad's father was a Becker and his mother's maiden name was Carl. I'm the youngest grandchild of their youngest child.

My mom's family was from West Virginia and mostly traces their roots through the Appalachia region. Her dad's family was pretty much always in the same area of West Virginia (Before that Virginia) and before that they came from England. Her Dad was a Blankenship and her mom was an Allen.

I've spent a lot of time researching my Nana's side (Carl) and her husband's side (Becker) because of her PA Dutch and my grandfather's Scottish background. There were things she didn't know that I wanted to know, and things that I didn't have time to ask because she died suddenly in 2007.

Also looking for information on a Jessie Neilson (Becker) originating from Scotland in the early 1900's. Died in 1964.
