Born in VA, lived in other areas of U.S., Japan, (mostly SC) for a little over 50 yrs. have done genealogy since 1976, building on the notes from my mother and Mrs. Helen (Trent) Hobbs of IN in 1953-54. Have made over 200 trips over the yrs. to many a C.H., local Library, and Historical Society. Filled 12 filing cabinet drawers over the yrs. and now have appox. 2.5 gigabits of data on computers.

Now retired and not traveling, but using my time to fill in the blanks in my data from my own files and from selected sites on the internet. Really miss the loss of the MyFamily Sites and the Genealogy.com Family Forums, but Find-a-Grave is proving to be helpful.
