I am the daughter of Donald F. Leyden, (Sr), and Velma L. (nee Mercer) Leyden who are buried together in one coffin, my dad's ashes in a box on her, at Rittman National Cemetery in Medina, County, Ohio. I also have five full brothers whose parents are the same.
If only they had known what a wonderful place they were buried and that their children did all the planning for their funeral, and it was very sad, but pleasant considering.
They will both be missed, but not forgotten. The patriarch and matriarch of ALL the Leydens in the Cuyahogo County, Ohio area. My dads brother, Richard, had 2 sons, but only his son, also Richard ("Dick") lives in Painesville, Lake County. So some Leyden's may be found in that area in the future. Richard, Jr. had identital twins sons, I believe Michael and David are their names. Born in the 1970's.
