I have been searching for my family since childhood. I always hung out with the adults while they were talking about family and relatives. I was familiar with so many names and some faces but did keep all I learned in my memory. I was born 1953 and about 1975 I started interviewing relatives on a tape recorder and started writing and researching about 1985. When the Family Tree Maker came out,( I don't know when) I had to purchase and begin the actual tree. I had tons of info and photos but it was not connected until I got the tree maker and joined Ancestry, I didn't get too far but that was years ago. Then life got in the way once again and I fell behind but the best is I have been at it for 2 years solid and I actually have a tree. I found "Find a Grave" which helped even more and I had a use for all my Headstone Pictures. I am trying to put this tree together for my family so they can find their roots and perhaps we can find out who we came from. I also have found out medical problems our family had to endure and we may inherit. Stories of our ancestors, that reveal the type of people they were and that adds to our strengths and weaknesses but more than anything I want my family to find Pride and Courage from our past. I have uncovered so much more than I ever thought I could. So, I hope I can help others find their family and discover all they can from their ancestors as I did and still am searching for more details. If I can help anyone, please feel free to ask..
