I am just a fellow resident of the "little cowan area..Originally named "Dongola"
I have been searching for years to find any relatives that may have fought or given their lives in the Revolutionary,and civil wars.
I have found more than i expected,I had no idea of the number of Cornett men that served.
I am related to Joseph Enoch Cornett-Who is my 3rd great grandfather,who served in Co. F 5th Ky. INF..

Later he became the 2nd sitting judge in the town of Summit City or what we know as Whitesburg.
