I caught the genealogy bug in the early 1970s. I blame my mother, Ruth Countryman Mock, and her sister, Grace Countryman Barth. I have been doing genealogy since Ruth returned from IL with a large box of hand written notes on paper that needed typing and organizing. "Here is something for you to do after work instead of watching TV, Ruth said." I was typing reams of paper, reviving when required by my aunt, really cutting and pasting. sending information back and forth by postal mail. I began to do researched at libraries, Family History Centers, walked cemeteries and typed. Now on computer, much, much easier, I am still addicted, typing, and revising.
The Countryman, Goembel, etc. families of Henry Co., IL; the Mock, Allison, etc. families of Bedford, PA. The McWilliams, Lightner, etc. families; the Pearson, Sidley, etc. families of Mercer Co. PA
