I'm a descendent of Thomas Deadmond, first settler in the Odin/Sandoval, Illinois area. My family is all gone now. My son and only child is buried next to his great grandparents, Lovell and Raymond Sproull in Deadmond Cemetery. My parents, Lenora Vowell and Clayton Vowell are buried in the Peaceful Valley cemetery in Odin. My husband Richard McCulloch passed away last in October 2016 and his ashes are scattered around our sons grave at Deadmond Cemetery and some sent to California to be scattered where he grew up in California. I live in North Carolina now and am a Social Worker. Its hard being alone in the world without family. My mom was an only child so I only have distant cousins. I have friends that have become my family. Edited to add that a wonderful man walked into my life and we were Married Oct 5, 2019. I have a whole new and very large family to enjoy!
