I have collected bits and pieces of family stories most of my life and always said that someday I would commit to some "real" genealogy endeavor regarding our family history - and someday is not only here by nearly over! Never too late to put to paper what I hold so dear. I am the youngest of five siblings at age 70+ and seem to be holding the heart of the family. And I have always been fascinated by graveyards - reading headstones and markers, wondering about the lives of those gone on and who they left behind. I was born in and grew up in Houston TX but my entire family was from around Pike County MS. Most are still there, dead or alive as well as in Louisiana and all having come from the Carolinas, Virginia....I have only been on Ancestry for a short time compared to most and wow! So blessed with so much information, conversation and connection.
