Bio

My interest in cemetery preservation began in the 1990's with family genealogy and DNA research. Some of my family lines are McKinney, McClain, Ballard, Stidham, Stone, Walker and Spradlin.

My McKinney genealogy research led me to take on the project of creating digital copies of the old McKinney Maze Association newsletters that were only published in paper format for members from 1981 through 1996, I feel honored to have been entrusted with the entire library of newsletters, books, family group sheets and other information from McKinney researchers all over the United States. The website for the Maze issues is http://mckinneymaze.com/. The individuals that formed the association and prepared all the research materials did an amazing job. Please be sure to read the summary link about them if you visit.

I have also been adding information to my graduating class Facebook Group to preserve each of my classmate's story. The class group is Hamilton High School Hamilton, Alabama Class of 65. I include in the posts about my deceased classmates a link to their Find A Grave Memorial. I have added several memorials for them myself that did not already exist. We were a big class up to that date since we were the Baby Boomer class born the year after the end of World War II.

If anyone would like to maintain a memorial that I manage, please just ask. If you are a relative closer than I am, I will be glad to transfer to you.

If anyone finds an error on a memorial I have added, please use the 'suggest edit' link and send me the correction needed. That way I will be sure to receive it through the Find A Grave system. If you have additional information to add just send that as well.

There are many memorials on Find A Grave now that the original creator has passed away and are available for adoption. For any of those memorials that I either know the individual or am related I always adopt them.
