Note: Where I don't know the birth year but do have the age at death, I arrive at a birth year by subtracting age from death year so birth year can be out by 1 or 2 years. For persons searching, it is a useful guide rather having nothing at all in the birth year.
Anyone can use the pictures that I post, place them on Ancestry and other genealogy sites, if you wish. I am doing this not only as a hobby, but to help out others with their searching. When taking these photos, I am not trying to invade anyone's privacy or disrespect their family members, I take pictures because it may be the last one ever taken of a headstone before it falls to the elements, a vandal, or whatever. it is about preserving the headstones with a photo, for one day they may no longer be there, and giving someone the ability to see an ancestor's headstone from half a world away.
Aberdonian brought up in Somerset!. Retired and living near Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
Happy to assist with info on any of the photos already submitted (better pics, etc) and to get new pics from within a reasonable distance. Happy also to transfer memorial pages in accordance with FG rules.
Have transcribed and photographed many graveyards/cemeteries/burial grounds in my locality in recent years.
