Hi, my interest in genealogy is mainly based around the Heavy Woollen region of West Yorkshire, mainly Batley, Dewsbury and Birstall which is where for the most part my own family hails from.
Families tend to branch out and that's where this site comes in very useful I've found the resting place of many a relative overseas with the help of fellow members who have taken the time to create memorials for unknown people.
The memorials I've created predominantly are from Batley and Dewsbury Municipal Cemeteries. In many cases only a grassed area can be found with no headstone but with some cross-checking and tenacity the exact position usually can be found.
