About 35 years ago I became more interested in genealogy work due to grandparents passing away. My main focus was Belcher, Cool, Shelton, Ramey, Salyers, and others on my side and Graves, Pool, Jones, Duffer, and others on my wife's side. Several years ago, I did a yDNA test and my results came back matching the Owens family rather than Belcher. To say the least, this has changed my focus in the past few years. My focus has broadened to include Owens and Looney and those connected to them. My family still ties into the Belcher family, but from a different ancestor.
