My reason for initially joining Find A Grave was to further my personal search for family members to complete information in my family tree. In my research I have found that there are many people that are also searching for missing pieces of information. I grew up with a grandfather that was a history teacher and a father that was a geography teacher. That meant many summer trips crossing the country, exploring Nature parks, Historical Landmarks, Cemeteries, Battlefields, etc. I feel I was so blessed to have a rich knowledge of American History. That has led me to help others to locate missing pieces of their history through Find a Grave. The cemeteries I have explored are a treasure trove of history.
