Bio

Born in Mecklenbug County into a family that talked a LOT about their departed kin, I never lost interest in the "who's who and with whom did they marry?" trivia game. Tracing my roots to the original Scots-Irish, Engilsh, Irish and German settlers of the Piedmont region of North Carolina, I bring a habit of detailed and meticulous historical research to the table. My research interests begin with the Colonial history of North Carolina, extending forward into the present-day counties of Lincoln, Cleveland, Rutherford, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Iredell, Catawba, Davidson and Forsyth (for starters)...and backward to the "Old Countries" from which our European ancestors originate. I try to share whatever I can to help photo volunteers provide accurate information.

It's amazing how much we come to love people we never got a chance to know when we research and share their stories.
