If you message me about a person, please include memorial number with it.

I'm tired of seeing my name in memorials bio, so y'all can right Anonymous now. This ish isn't about me. It's about them. All someone has to do is put the info in and go research them, and they can find the information like I have. God Bless

As I verify information in my tree, I will try to link family members here on findagrave. Most of the information that I find is on familysearch. (North Carolina death certificates not the index). I send information for verification purposes not for bio. You can put what you want in there, but please keep my name out of it. Thanks

I don't put up death certificates. They look tacky. They are probably in my ancestry tree.

I actually do verify edits since most of the information is available to the public. So please don't send me anything where you added extra information that isn't in the original document.

Picayune cemetery is divided up into two parts: African Americans and Antioch. It is also geotag meaning if you are looking for a headstone, download the findagrave app and look for the headstone using the app. Marriage records from Pearl River County and Hancock county are used to link family members in the surrounding cemeteries.

If taking pictures with your cellphone, turn on the location. Go into your camera settings and under Save location Tags/Save Location, turn it on. The photo will get the gps of the grave. When you upload the photo, the gps will automatically be entered the location field on findagrave. This helps anyone that would like to personally go to the grave and find it. :) (This no longer works for my phone If you got the app, you can send the gps coordinates through the app. Hopefully this still works for others.)

If I post a picture of a headstone, it doesn't mean that I am related to that person. If I leave a flower on a memorial, it doesn't necessarily mean that I am kin to that person. I may or may not be related to that person it depends on the flower.

Thanks for doing what you do!
