Bio

I was bit by the Genealogy bug when I was a young girl in elementary school when a distant cousin of my grandfather's came to town for a visit and shared her Family Research project she had been conducting for several years. This was back in the mid-1970's. All of it done on a typewriter and through visits to cemeteries, libraries, family members, churches. By the late 1970's she returned to our small town in Kansas toting a bound 1-inch thick booklet on my maternal grandfather's family history.

Fast forward to 2012 when I got the booklet from my mother and copied it. The rest is history. I'd call myself a novice-to-intermediate researcher. I've discovered a few things that others in the family tree had missed. So I like to think I'm pretty thorough. I've received a lot of info from this website and would like to give back to it if I can. Let me know if you need something in the Kansas City metro area. I'm willing to drive up to 30 minutes one-way to take photos of gravesites. Best of luck to you in your search.
