Bio

My name is, Dame Brighid J NicPheadaran DStE. I live in Devon, UK. I was born, Jeanne Barbara Peterson of Bennington Vermont, to Orville James Peterson and Barbara Connelly. I went back to the old family name, after my Mum's death.

I am a 'Dame' awarded by St Edward The Confessor for volunteer work in UK.

I have two sisters who are still alive - June Amelia, and Ella Susan. I have one brother, alive who is James Francis.

I have no step brothers or sisters.

I have three sons: Nik, Fran, Kris; and four grandchildren: Ben, Jeremy, Aiden, and Sophia.

I lived in Montreal from 1975 until 2001; I lived in US from 1954 until 1974. I have lived in the UK since 2001, and am here at present.

I worked in Montreal as a paramedic for 23 years; and then I trained as landscape technologist; and worked in the industry in Riverfield Quebec.

I am retired, in the UK - where I do freelance writing, and photography.

My families history was drilled into me at an early age - as my grand mother's felt, I needed to know, to keep the memory alive.

My sister Kathy died of a brain and liver cancer, and my sister Mary was murdered at age 15.

There are a number of cemeteries in the Okehampton area; and if you need me to pop to one or another; and it isn't peeing down, I will be more then happy to do so.
