Bio

Photographer and former documentarian. For years, I've done extensive research as the genealogist for my family and my husband's, having also inherited generations of photographs, histories and documents for both. Prefer to manage my own family memorials, regardless of close relations. Only recently have I started helping with non-family memorials.

Currently photographing older graves, as those are the ones easily lost to family as generations disperse over time. Will add to existing memorials or create new ones, using vital records to ensure family members find their loved ones.

If possible, my priority is to take at least two photos of each grave - as context is important! Since many cemeteries are massive, old or may not have an office to contact for their location, seeing where the grave is in the cemetery (with landmarks like trees, fences, etc) has helped me find my ancestors, so I try to return the favor. Taking well-composed, quality photographs is also a priority. If I add a photo to a memorial that already has one it's because the existing photo is old or poorly made.
