Bio

I am Mike Williams and have been interested in Genealogy and what all I can find out about my relatives of by gone years. I recently found this website; therefore, I am quite new to how it all works. Please forgive me if I ask for something that I should already know.

My mother was Clara Faye Platt Williams who came out of Houston County in a little community of Lovelady, TX. There were 13 kids in her family, and I guess that continues to interest me. Her GG grandfather came to the Republic of Texas in 1836 and settled in San Augustine County. My father, was Fred Stewart Williams grew up in Pasadena, TX and his ancestors were part of the OLD 300 and came to the Republic of Texas in 1821. They fought in the American Revolution.

I am a retired educator and spent 40 years in the field of education. Having taught as an elementary teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal, I spent the largest part of my 40 year career in Tomball, TX. I retired as the Director of Human Resources, which I did for 24 years in Tomball ISD. My mission is to leave as much information on this website that has been passed on to me by two of my first cousins, Betty Gene Waller Hall and Jack Platt. Both should be proud of the work they have put into their genealogy studies.
