I live in the historic Netherwood Heights - Sleepy Hollow neighborhood of Plainfield, New Jersey. I grew up in East Hampton, Middlesex County, Connecticut. My father, Richard Cook, grew up in Thetford, Orange County, Vermont. My mother, Janice Rankl, also grew up in East Hampton, Connecticut. I graduated from Vassar College in 1988, University of Pennsylvania in 1990 (with a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning), and New York Law School in 1994. I am an attorney, and practice law in New York and New Jersey.
