My great grandfather William Campbell came to Bradford, Ontario in 1862. His father was Henry Francis Campbell who settled in Traverse City, Michigan after leaving Ireland. The Campbell family was originally from Caithness, Scotland and settled in Kilglass, County Sligo, Ireland (date unknown). William married Bessie Sutherland. Their sons were Dr. Lewis H. Campbell, William L. Campbell who owned and operated W.L. Campbell Drugs for 57 years and Elizabeth F. Campbell. I have a great interest in family history and the history of Bradford and of Jamestown, New York where my grandmother’''s family settled in after leaving Sheffield, Pennsylvania. My Grandmother was Marjorie Blanchard Campbell of Sheffield, Pennsylvania. Her grandfather was Jasper Pope Blanchard.
My mother'’s family settled in West Gwillimbury and Innisfil, Ontario. The family names on this side of my family are Bell, Hodgson and McCarroll.
