I got involved with FindAGrave.com in my genealogy searches on Ancestry.com and trying to find my Polish roots. In our travels, my husband and I think it's very interesting visiting old graveyards. It's like a history lesson and going back in time. It's also very sad when we come upon tombstones that have been vandalized or have become overgrown due to lack of maintenance. These are truly the forgotten dead. I can understand if all the family has died or moved away, but others should take up the task. Having served in the USAF, I understand duty, honor and country. Our dead should be honored.

I grew up in NE Minneapolis, having graduated from Edison H.S. I met my future husband while attending the, then, College of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, MN. Upon graduation, I was commissioned a 2Lt in the USAF. I served on Keesler AFB, MS and Kelly AFB, TX. I loved the South! We then traveled the country due to my job and his. God bless the USA!
