I have been researching my genealogy for about 6 years now. It is very interesting, sad and time-consuming but I feel necessary. I grew up in Upper Michigan until about 1986 then moved to Southern Wisconsin and still reside in Southern Wisconsin. My father, Leonard Gilchrist was born in La Porte, Indiana. Most of my research is on my father's side at this time.
