Bio

Originally born in New Haven Connecticut and spent my formative years at Lake Tahoe, NV. Joined the US Navy in March 1965, traveled to a lot of places, until retiring in 1989 from active duty as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (MACS). Fully retired from the USN reserves in 1995. Various jobs here and there in law enforcement, corrections, and private security. The last job was Director of Security for A shipbuilding company in Mobile AL where the littoral combat ship (LCS) and joint high speed vessel (EFP) are made for the US Navy.

Now retired to the Mobile Alabama area living quietly with nothing more to do except photography and family history. It's all for fun and helps to pass the days.

My biological father's family are Nelson and originated in Sweden (grandfather) and Denmark (grandmother). Mother was a Guertin from French Canadian and Irish lineage. Most of my family lived in New England, predominately Massachusetts and Connecticut. Documenting my families history to pass down to family of the future is my goal. "You really don't know who you are unless you know where to came from."

I currently have a project in progress that involves taking my mother's high school yearbook and ensuring as many of your classmates as possible are entered in Find-a-grave. She graduated in June of 1943!

I am available by email at: [email protected]
